Among the thin streaks of morning mist a dusty gray silhouette appeared. Through the haze two amber lits shone as the shadow stepped lightly forward, lowering it’s head toward the river. As it left the shadowy riverbank, sun lit up the mysterical shadow. It’s dusk coloured pelt glowed russet in the fiery dawn light as the deer lowered it’s head toward the water. Silvery ripples danced across the surface when his antlers broke the stream long before his mouth touched it. As he drank he felt his strengh returning and closed his eyes for a second before straightening up, ears flicking nervously and body alert for danger. Catching a whiff of dog in the gentle breeze he quickly bounced back to the shadows of the lush forrest, leaving the danger behind. Making his way through the thick undergrowth Nalun steered toward the grasslands.

Cautiously he poked his head out through the branches. Tasting the air he found nothing but a faint trace of deer in the morning gloom and more confident he stepped out on the stretch of grassland. The lush grass was heavy with morning dew, and as he grazed in the outskirts of the plain the clear morning sky was invaded by thin streaks of clouds that grew thicker as time passed, promising rain later on. Ignoring the change of weather he continued his meal, roaming the grasslands in his searh for the most delishious patches of grass it had to offer

hoof prints were left in damp earth, leading their way through the forest and through the dew covered underbrush.
through large cedar trees light struggled to drift and was left as meer slits in the darkness, a dusky mist settled under their giant branches, which lingered overhead like giant arms. the hoof prints continued, and followed a dull colored buck that made his way up through a tangle of roots and low hanging moss. He ducked his head to avoid getting his antlers stuck. the light seemed to be filtering through more and more, making Lemon a dark silhouette in the forest, the shadows danced beside him as he moved further. Finally he found himself at the edge of the trees, his eyes fluttered upon peering around a large cedar and adjusted to the bright light. His ears perked forward, listening to any variations in the silence... a light wind, maybe a deer or two in the distance. low probability of danger.
He stepped forward, keeping his head high. the smell of grass and moist air wafted towards him.
he continued into the grasslands, stepping around a flurry of multi-colored flowers and letting the dew roll off the plants and onto his hooves. Lemon's eyes reflected green in the sunlight as he spotted another deer a few yards away, he stood still to examine him

Tensing as a sound in the bushes roused him from his peaceful meal he lift his head, ears waving for signs of more sounds. Tasting the air he caught the scent of buck with his sensitive nose and allowed himself to relax a little. Soon a deer stepped out from the forest behind him. Nalun gave the deer a swift glance with his vibrant eyes. The buck was slightly bigger than him, coated with a subtle gray dotted with white streaks lining the paler colour underbelly. Not taking further notice of his newly arriven company he returned to grazing the green field underhoof.


[Lol, Nalun says *ignore, ignore* XD. No but seriously, I thought that Nalun isn't the kind of person that speaks without a good reason. He he... Would you like to do the first quest with me?]

he shrugged off the buck's lack of communication and looked for a place to eat himself, nestling into a delicious looking patch of grass Lemon savored the lush, earthy flavor of the plant life.
the breeze picked up and rustled through his off-green coat, the grass swayed and pricked at his legs.
his ears twitched, a strange sound echoing in his head. at first he tried to ignore it, but it swirled inside of him and grew until it became unmanageable. Lemon stood straight, trying to shake his head free of the noise, but it wouldn't subside.
he glanced over at where the other buck was standing, "Are you hearing this strange noise? Its quite bothersome. it sounds like a bee flew in my ear and cant get out!" his tail swished irritably, and a part of him feared he might look foolish if the other deer was not hearing this strange phenomenon as well.

Nalun raised his head as the newcomer spoke to him. He flicked his ears in confusion. What sound? Then he tensed. Once grazing he had misstaken the sound as a gentle breeze, but now, when listening to it, he could hear soft voices that increased in strenght as he focused on it. Slightly he lift his focus from the murmuring tone and glanced at the vauge green coloured buck. "I hear it." he announced with his calm voice, untouched by the small confusion that fluttered in his chest. He tried to listen harder as the breeze picked up, not drowning the sound but increasing it. He tensed his ears, the wind carrying the strange whispers came from the east. "It's coming from the Red Sun forest." he added, giving a confused shake of his head. "Id like to see what it is." he said to the buck, not waiting for a reply as he turned and slowly started walking toward the tree line. As he reached the lushing outskirts of the forest he turned. "You may not want to stay here much longer, I caught the scent of dogs earlier, they seemed to be heading this way." he said with a swift flick of his tail before letting the undergrowth of the forest engulf him.

Lemon pointed his nose towards the Red Sun Forest, the wind seemed to be whipping over the trees and cascading down into the grass, carrying the noise with it. He watched as the other buck receded towards the trees and became a bit alarmed to hear the news about the dogs, Lemon particularly hated them. He picked up a trot and caught up to the stranger's side, eyeing him cautiously. "Why dont we both go then? If its something dangerous it would be wiser to travel in a group." He ducked under some lower branches, being careful not to tangle his antlers in them.

He gave the stranger a swift glance, then nodded. "I'm Nalunaqtuq." he said shortly and bowed his head in respect before continuing further into the trees.

[Short one is short, and yes the have indeed. ]

He paused for a moment, "Na---lak---ta--what?" he was in no way trying to sound rude. "Do you have a nickname?"
Lemon weaved through the trees after the buck, gracefully gliding over lage roots and fallen logs

Nalun gave his tail an amused flick. "Nalun." he answered simply.

"Ah, Nalun, Much easier to remember.. sort of." Lemon's ears flickered, he consciously stopped himself before he started on a random tangent about nicknames and things of the sort, his thin legs continued to weave through thick underbrush, and suddenly he remembered that he hadnt introduced himself, "Ah, My name is Lemon." he said in a friendly tone, "Its sort of a strange name too, but in a different way. names are funny like that." again, stopping himself, he didnt want to scare away this stranger with his random thought process, and continued to drift deeper into the forest.

Nalun flicked his tail in amusement, this strangers curious way of acting entertained him. He gave a soft bark in reply and then tasted the name. "Lemon you say..." he said, dipping his head politely. "So, how is life running these days?" he asked. "Any family?" he asked, turning his head to meet Lemons green gaze for the first time. He took a deeper look at the slender body, like if he hadn't really seen the other buck before, the matted grey pelt shone vauge in the green haze of light filtered through the leaves and the crooked antlers witnessed of a greater experience than his own.
